Biographies

Personal histories, memoirs, and autobiographies Sarah has edited, designed, and helped bring to print — for individuals and families preserving their stories for generations to come.

How We'll Work Together

Your life story is a gift to the future, and the effort you put into writing your personal history will be appreciated more than you know. To begin, we'll agree to a simple contract. From there, every project moves through four stages.

1

Writing

You draft the text, select photos, and write captions. Microsoft Word or Google Docs work well for this — any paper photos just need to be scanned first.

2

Editing

Sarah performs a content edit (suggestions on how the story is told), then a copyedit (grammar and typos). You review all the edits along the way.

3

Typesetting

Sarah creates the layout of the text and cover, and you review the design before it moves forward.

4

Publishing

Sarah requests a quote from the publisher and submits the files for printing.

Once your story is printed, Sarah can also help you plan additional copies, list it for sale, or share it through free archives like FamilySearch Memories — and can put together an ebook edition for wider distribution.

Past Projects

These projects are shared for illustrative purposes. Most were privately printed for family use; where a title is publicly available, it's linked below.
